I'll be taking part in the Weymouth Bay swim for the British Heart Foundation on 10th August 2008.
From the BHF website:
This unique event is a one-mile offshore swim along the sandy waters edge of Weymouth Bay. Following a safety talk from the lifeguards, who patrol the event from sea and shore, the swim starts at 9:30am from the Pavilion end of the beach. You will be rewarded with a complimentary hot drink and medal when you finish.
Nearly 300 swimmers took part last year and we expect lots more this year.
Early start, but should be fun.
